Short-term installment financing at checkout — typically four payments over six weeks.

Why it matters

Common providers include Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, and PayPal Pay Later. Some report to credit bureaus, most don't. Missed payments can trigger late fees, deferred interest, or referrals to collections.
